For Placement Test:
- SAT doesn’t have to give maths placement test if scored good.
- IELTS doesn’t have to give english placement test if scored good.
- Way better to give in nepal than after coming here. Try getting as much as you can so you don’t have to get unnecessary courses that you already know.
- Have to give the test in the university if you come to the US.
- Need at least 75 in math placement for Calculus. So, try to aim for that.
- Can also give the test for a total of 3 times.
For Course Registration:
- NEED to do placement test before registering for courses.
- MUST meet with advisor in order to release hold
- can also add the courses ourselves instead of relying solely on the advisor.
- Make your class schedules good so you can also focus on on campus jobs and events.
- Recommended to add one online course. Can take upto 3 but strictly recommended for one. need atleast 9 credits that count as physical/ in-person class. Must have at least 12 credit hours to be considered a full time student.
For Fee Payment:
For Airport:
- Always Carry your passport, boarding pass, and all the relevant documents in your personal bag.
- There’s a limit of certain amount of cash you can carry.
- Don’t buy flight tickets which have self transfer luggage. Check to ensure it’s not in your tickets.
- Research properly on things you can bring on the airplane or not. Research properly on things you can bring on hand carry vs what you can bring on luggage. Check luggage dimensions or weight limits.
For Rides:
don’t do uber and use ysu bus
give information about the ride group
usually, it’s about 60- 70 ( can do less for multiple people at the same time) make sure the ride doesn’t bring any friends.
